Synopsis:
A veterinary student without financial resources, Jacob (Robert Pattinson), meets and falls for Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), the star of a circus from another era. They discover the beauty that exists under the circus tent, and begin to connect through the feeling that they raised a very special elephant. Against all odds-including the fury of the charismatic but dangerous Marlena's husband, August (Christoph Waltz) - Jacob saves Marlena a miserable life and both find the love of his life.
